Finally, a new Slender game! Slenderman is my favorite horror game monster and seeing him/she/it is so refreshing. Looks like this a big project, I can see an upcoming co-op and mulitplayer.
So I love the atmosphere and the graphics are on point. Some people may have a hard time dealing with lag though. Also, I think the grass is a little...tall. I feel as if the grass is covering up some of the pages. The game is also a bit dark, too dark imo. I only managed to find 4 of pages, but it appears that I missed some areas though. May you add an audio cue or a stronger visual cue to the papers and slender?
I am excited to see where this game goes in the future. Thank you for bringing Slender back!
Hey thank you for your feedback! If you want to change the brightness then start singleplayer mode, press escape and go into the options there is a brightness slider :) and the grass shouldn't cover any pages because the tall grass is mainly in the forest and not on roads. But maybe iam going to add a option for the grass too. Btw great video! :)
I played the game. I was scared 99% of the time so I couldn't finish or even collect 4 pages~!!! Anyways, I am going to finish it! Waiting for the future updates!
honestly a good sound condensing microphone, and then making sure your audio levels are set before you start recording. My place is pretty echoey so I also use a waffle ((its a mesh foam you put around the microphone)) to help clean up the subtle sounds that just come from my place, a waffle is also great to catch those hard S and P sounds so they aren't so painful on the listeners ears. I use a "blue snowball" microphone. This game is very nice! The graphics are pretty good, but as you mentioned in-game; The performance in game could be worked on a bit. Also I think I got some kind of bug that didn't spawn a slenderman or something, i even went out on a search party for him. xD

Hey there. Fellow Gamer with potato PC here. I actually get this issue a lot with Unity alpha builds. It's not as optimized as it could be. so what you need to do is not only change the settings, but possibly put your build in the 1000x700 range of resolution, turn shadows, fog, and SSR to the lowest settings, and set your graphics quality to medium (anything lower and you can't read the pages. if this isnt a problem for you, run it lower.)
Really enjoyed the experience of playing this game despite it scaring the crap out of me on occasion. If you're interested in seeing the game in it's current state, I invite you to watch this video and laugh at me as I scream out loud.
I love the game. Made a video with a quick gameplay run. However, I closed the game once I was done, and tried to fix the issues I was having with video quality (on my end), and now the game wont open. After the unity logo appears, the game crashes with a dialogue box RED "!" over the logo. There's no error code or message and I can't open the unity crash handler either. What do I do?
i tried to reinstall and even removed the registry, but it seems the game just wont play. I tried updating and downgrading unity as well as update drivers. Disabling my firewall and protectio hasnt done much either
For a game in alpha stage, the graphics look amazing and the gameplay feels really nice. I made a video playing through the game. Unfortunately, at certain point in the video, the game bugged out and all the pages and the Slender character disappeared. Besides that, the game ran smooth.
Hey, thank you for your feedback! :) This wasn't a bug. The pages get spawned randomly on certain locations on the entire map.. if you want to find all pages you have to press [b] to get also access to the unfinished areas. I enjoyed your video! Hope to see more in the future :)

Dude your sound design and graphics look amazing! Things rustling in the trees and catching glimpses of whatever I can barely see really amps up the scares.
My only complaint so far is that Slenderman seems to crawl around REALLY fast, so escaping from him once he appears is impossible, and with him suddenly showing up behind you randomly, such as in the church towards the end of the video or even his head poking through a wall being enough to kill me it makes gameplay brutally difficult.

Not bad for an Alpha, ver short but it was expected. The graphics were very nice, defo an upgrade for a Slenderman game. Few things, I do wish there was a different take on Slenderman than just "collect these pages" its been done before many many times, but, in saying that, I am looking forward to the finished product

Hi there, I recently downloaded your game to hopefully record a video on but I wasn't able to because the game is heavily graphically demanding as I put everything on low and the game still had at least 1-3 fps. My PC can play games on low, usually, which means your game is un-optimised. I am still pretty excited to play the game but I am unable to if the framerate can't reach at lease 10-20 fps.
Also, yes.... you could consider my PC a potato PC lol
Thanks! Well, I think iam not able to optimize the game much more because I did almost everything to optimize the game... try to disable shadows (they need the most resources) then set ssr to low. That's everything you can right now. Stay tuned for performance updates! :)

One question although, why do you allow access to options in-game but not in-menu? Because I had to play the game, in order to visit the options menu as it was locked in the menu part.
So, I downloaded this game and referenced to my friends and OMG we had the BEST time! Since we aren't allowed to play games at school, we ended up sitting at lunchtime in a dark corner. AND LET ME TELL YOU, this game attracted a lot of attention. At one point I reckon we were surrounded by at least 10 kids from multiple grades, all waiting to see my friends get scared! (Every Time there was a jump scare, us girls would jump into each other's arms)
Yet we have a few suggestions! (please take note)
- When turning the view, like left and right, it is sort of slow and a little annoying
- Proxies? We haven't seen any, so we wonder if you've put any into the game
AND THE THING WE REALLY WANT;
MULTIPLAYER ! We have already decided that when multiplayer comes out we are just going to have a giant sleepover and be scared a incredible amount!!!
And when multiplayer is a thing, I wonder if you've planned for different game modes? What about, one time, one of the players is slender and must kill everyone?
ALSO have you planned a player limit for multiplayer? I honestly think we would need maybe 4 people or even, (with a larger map) maybe even 6 people!
We've really spammed you with suggestions (sorry lol), but trust us, when multiplayer is released we are gonna go crazy.
Hey, thank you for the massive feedback! :) Iam going to add a mouse sensitivity option in the next update to let the player customize it easily. What do you mean by proxies? Currently there are no different game modes planed for the local- and online multiplayer... maybe there will be but right now iam focused on developing the map. There will be a player limit of 2 for the local-coop. At the moment iam not sure which player limit will be set to the online multiplayer. Iam thankful for every suggestion! :)
Proxies are like Slendermans minions from Slender The Arrival.Basically brainwashed and drained people. I feel like Slenderman is enough of a constant threat that proxies would be way too overbearing.
I think I may have bugged the game a wee bit....either that or Slender is afraid of Baldy Bearded Scotsmen...Could we have finally found his true weakness? :P

Wow he got me pretty good. The game looks great so far. i would suggest adding a few more pages to the finished area temporarily, to make it feel more like a demo.

Hi the options are locked because I haven't wrote a script yet. It sounds stupid but that's how it is :D Iam going to change that soon! :)

well I’m not very sure what proxies are myself HOWEVER I believe they are like slender’s ‘side kicks?’

Great gameplay! Actually there are more spawn locations in the finished area but the pages gets spawned randomly every time you load the game.
I can't wait for this to come out. I think the map so far is amazing and Im pretty sure i shat myself when slender ran at me.
